Grilled Pork Chop, which was porterhouse-cut, glazed, with a side of mashed potatoes, vegetables and chutney. (Can somebody explain to me what chutney is? Nick and I both don’t know, and I asked our waitress, and she gave us a response of how its “sweet.” I was still confused.) I don’t think he liked this dish very much…kept saying it was too “sweet.”

Short Rib Sloppy Joe with Certified Angus Ground Beef on a buttered hot dog bun. By the time we arrived, I was so hungry it was making me cranky and I just wanted something intense and filling. Perusing the menu, I saw this and it reminded me of a scene in the Mary Kate and Ashley movie, It Takes Two, where they are served sloppy joes in the cafeteria. Looked so delicious in the movie and I actually don’t think I’ve ever tried sloppy joes in my life. cheers to another experience! The meat was the right texture, and it was well seasoned. The bun, at first looked a bit disappointing but it was actually very well toasted and buttered…well done, restaurant! I think I filled up too much on the sourdough bread and butter they brought out before, and so for the first time in a VERY long time, I actually couldn’t finish my plate. which is surprising.

I’ve honed this amazing ability to finish everything I order at a restaurant, and then some. As in, even my BOYFRIEND can’t finish his food, and I end up helping him. Not this time…ah, oh well!

white & silver

my dream: we were given challenges, and there were spectators observing us. one challenge had us jumping on what seemed to be a a gray bouncer/trampoline. I saw a series of silver wind chimes stringed above, and this particular detail seemed to evade the notice of the other contestants. In a flash of elegance and grace, I ran, jumped, twirled, and lightly touched the chimes. one of  the spectators whispered, “she’s got it.”

for some reason, waking up to that dream made me happy…

currently: thanking God for blessing me with such lovely dreams

Trust is Vulnerability

I need to vent.

Drama at work has escalated and it’s got me thinking how untrustworthy people are of each other, how people are never satisfied with things, how people will always have something to COMPLAIN about with each other. The workplace can indeed be a cruel place, behind the scenes of course. Don’t get me wrong, I like my job for the most part. I almost don’t want to quit come the time I expect to…but hearing her rant about all this madness that’s going on with other coworkers is getting me pissed, annoyed, frustrated….it will never be enough. I’m hearing from both sides too, so my perception of all this is not biased. It has sidedness I admit, but it is not completely biased.

I need to get accepted into school, so I can get outta’ here…
